DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1- ARRIVE DELHI – ON TO BHIMTAL

Welcome to Delhi – the Grand Capital of India. On arrival at Airport / Railway station in Delhi, begin your tour of ‘Splendours of Uttarakhand’. Proceed on a picturesque drive to the charming hill station of Nainital. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.
Overnight in Bhimtal / Nainital – None (Meals on your Own)

DAY 2- BHIMTAL / NAINITAL

This morning, enjoy an excursion to the lakes which includes Sat Tal- a group of seven lakes including the famous jade green Garud Lake, the larger Bhimtal and Naukuchiatal, where you will have the opportunity for boating and paddling on direct payment basis.
The rest of the dayis at leisure.

DAY 3- BHIMTAL / NAINITAL

Today, you will proceed on a local tour of Nainital visiting the Naina Devi Temple and Hanuman Garhi. You can walk around the Nainilake, and enjoy a boat ride on the picturesque Naini lake on your own. Naina Devi temple is a must visit in Nainital especially for people who seek spirituality and wish to offer their prayers to Goddess Naina. This temple is greatly visited by local devotees during religious festivals.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the beautiful hill station of Nainital on your own. You can also spend the rest of the day shopping at Mall road or Tibetan market which is famous for its unique candle collection in various shapes, wooden artifacts, ethnic clothing, tiny wooden boats to huge pieces of detailed art etc.

DAY 4- ON THE RANIKHET

Today, you will drive through the forested pine and deodar covered slopes, pass through fast flowing mountain streams to the popular hill station of Ranikhet. Located in the Kumaon hills, Ranikhet is a cool, quiet and serene hill station. Surrounded by picturesque views, Ranikhet offers the panorama of the great Himalayas, ancient temples, picnic spots, exciting trekking options. Passing through beautiful terrain and soak up in the beautiful ambience. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. This afternoon explore Ranikhet, that has derived its name from Rani Padmini, the queen of Raja Sukherdev. Explore the temples and the wonderful sights in Ranikhet such as 9-hole golf course, a Government Fruit Garden and Research Station at Chaubatia and the fascinating temples in Dwarahat.
The rest of the evening is at leisure, breathe the salubrious mountain air, listen the chirping of birds and watch the crimson sunrays kissing snow laden Himalayas or relax at resort!

DAY 5- ON TO ZIM CORBETT PARK

This morning, your journey continues to the wild tropical jungles to Corbett. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy a jeep safari to spot a variety of wildlife on your own arrangements. The main wildlife animals found in the Corbett National Park include the tiger, elephant, chital, sambar, nilgai, gharial, King Cobra, muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin, and nearly 600 species of birds.
This park is a natural habitat of the rare species of Tigers that are facing extinction. It is a haven for bird watchers, wild life enthusiasts, environmentalists and nature lovers.
Note : Corbett National Park remains open throughout the year for the visitors from Jhirna zone but the best time to visit Corbett is from 15th November to 15th June. Overnight in Corbett (B, L, D)

DAY 6- ON TO MUSSORIE

Embark on a drive to the picturesque town of Mussoorie, spread along a horseshoe shaped ridge overlooking the Doon Valley.
Mussoorie derives its name from the plants of ‘Mussoorie’ or shrub ‘mansoor’ which are available in large quantities in this region. Mussoorie, Popularly known as the Queen of Hills is a charming hill station. Commanding a wonderful view of extensive. Himalayan snow ranges to the northeast and glittering views of the Doon Valley to the South, the town presents a scenic atmosphere to the tourists.
On arrival, you will check-in to your hotel.
The evening is at leisure for independent activities.

DAY 7- MUSSORIE

This morning, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Mussoorie visiting the Kempty Falls and the Gun Hill Point. Kempty Falls is popular among the tourists who visit Mussoorie and this cascading waterfall has successfully lured tourists from the very beginning. Kempty Falls is located approximately 15kms from Mussoorie on the Chakrata road surrounded by high green mountains and is set at an altitude of 4500ft.
Gun Hill is situated 400mts above The Mall and it is the second highest peak of Mussoorie. Gun Hill is set at an elevation of 2122mts and it offers a beautiful panoramic view of the mighty Himalayan ranges and Doon valley. Before independence a Gun mounted on this top used to be fired at mid-day for people to adjust their watches. Presently Gun Hill houses the water reservoir of Mussoorie. It can be reached by the Ropeway ride whose distance is 400mts or by the bridle path which forks-off from Kutchery which takes around 20min.
The rest of the day is at leisure to stroll on the Mall road on your own. You can also enjoy the cable car ride from the Mall road to the Gun Hill point on direct payment basis.
Mussoorie is famous for carved wooden boxes, brass statues of Hindu deities and Buddhas, Tibetan prayer wheels, ceramic Chinese vases and hand carved wooden walking sticks made from oak, why not indulge in some shopping! (shopping on your own)

DAY 8- DEPART MUSSORIE * ON TO DELHI

Today, bid farewell to your ‘Splendours of Uttarakhand’ tour, as you are transferred to the Airport / Railway station in Delhi for your onward journey.
